Answer

What is the best time to post on social media for real estate?

Evenings work best for Instagram and TikTok, and late morning on weekdays for Facebook and LinkedIn. Those windows come from Metricool's 2026 studies, so test them against your own analytics.

Evenings for Instagram and TikTok, late morning on weekdays for Facebook and LinkedIn. Those are the windows in Metricool's 2026 studies. Use them as the first thing to test, because your own analytics beat any study.

The short version

The short version

Metricool's 2026 Instagram Study (24,364,803 posts from 375,118 accounts) found interactions peak between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM every day of the week, with 8:00 PM on Tuesday the single highest engagement peak, and a dead zone every night from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM. Metricool's 2026 TikTok Study found the strongest posting window is 6 PM to 9 PM, with 8 PM as the peak hour and 8 PM on Sunday the peak traffic point of the week.

Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube

Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube

Metricool's 2026 Facebook data, on its Spanish language page, shows 10:00 as the best hour to post and Monday as the best day. By day, the best hours are Monday 10:00, Tuesday 12:00, Wednesday 12:00, Thursday 11:00, Friday 10:00, Saturday 11:00 and Sunday 10:00. On LinkedIn, Metricool's guidance from its 2026 LinkedIn Study puts the best time on Monday at 10 AM to 12 PM, says the working day is best on every day of the week, and says Saturdays and Sundays are generally the worst. The study also points to 9:00 to 12:00 as a high-activity window. For YouTube, Metricool's 2026 YouTube Study found most brands publish long-form video between 10 AM and 4 PM and most Shorts between 2 PM and 6 PM. That tells you when brands post, not when posts perform best.

How long a post keeps earning

How long a post keeps earning

The hour matters most at the start. Metricool's 2026 Instagram data shows 70% of total views happen in the first three days. Its 2026 TikTok Study found a post reaches 96% of its total reach within the first 10 days. On LinkedIn, 50% of total impressions happen within the first 48 hours. So the hour sets the start, and the first few days decide most of the result.

Your own analytics win

Metricool's studies cover accounts worldwide, and none of the figures on this page is a real estate figure. A broker's audience of sellers, recruits and past clients may be online at different hours than the average account. This page does not restate any time zone note from Metricool, so read the study page for that before you compare. Then open your own insights for the last 60 to 90 days, sort posts by interactions, and look at the day and hour your best posts went out. Post in your top two windows for four weeks, then compare. What your own numbers say is the answer for your account.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does timing matter more than what I post?

No. It is one lever. Metricool's 2026 Instagram Study found Reels generate more than four times the interactions of single-image posts, so format is a lever too. Fix the format and the rhythm first, then tune the hour.

Do I have to be on my phone at 8 PM?

No. Schedule the posts. Every post in an Urban Marketing Edge plan is approved first and then scheduled, so nobody has to be online in the evening window.

Which time zone are these times in?

This page does not say. Read the time zone note on the Metricool study page you are comparing against, then check the time zone setting in your own analytics and compare on that basis.

What about Google Business Profile?

The Metricool data used on this page gives no best posting time for Google Business Profile, so this page does not guess. Use the profile's own insights.
