A game by Urban Marketing Edge

Rags To Real Estate

You do not lose because you are bad at selling houses. You lose because the money ran out before the work started paying. An Oregon Trail–style run through the whole life of an agent, playable right here.

01 — Pass the exam

Start with a license, a small bank balance and bills that arrive whether or not you close.

02 — Build a book

Spend limited turns on leases, buyers and listings, or invest in the reputation and market share that make later turns worth more.

03 — Sell the business

Hire staff, manage agents and, if the money never runs out first, exit on your terms.

Best on a laptop or desktop. Your run saves in this browser. Open full screen

Why we built it

Year one is investment, not income.

Every number in the game moves one of five things: the month, the bank, prestige, knowledge and market share. Spending a turn on a course or a farming campaign instead of a deal is a real sacrifice, and it is the right call, because reputation and market share are what make later turns worth more.

That is also the argument for consistent marketing. If the game makes the point better than a pitch deck, it has done its job.
